Information we collect

Firebase Authentication handles email and Google sign-in, email verification and password resets. We store your account ID with your orders so only you and authorised AquaEase staff can access them. Passwords are handled by Firebase and are not stored in the AquaEase orders database. When you order, we collect your name, email address, estate, delivery address, selected plan, order reference, payment status and delivery records. We also process limited technical information to protect checkout, including a short-lived hash derived from your network address for rate limiting. Required checkout fields are needed to process and deliver your order; without them we cannot complete it.

How we use it

We use this information to fulfil orders, arrange delivery and equipment support, reconcile payments, respond to enquiries, keep transaction records and prevent abuse. We do not use an order as permission to send unrelated marketing.

Payments and service providers

Yoco handles card details directly. AquaEase does not receive or store your full card number or security code. Our site and order records are hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare. Authorised staff and delivery providers receive the information needed to fulfil your order. Providers may process information outside South Africa; applicable contractual and legal safeguards must govern that processing. Yoco’s own privacy terms apply to its payment services.

Cookies and security

An essential, secure checkout cookie lets this browser retrieve the status of its order and expires after seven days. Hosting and sign-in providers may set essential security or authentication cookies. We have not added advertising trackers. Access to operational records is restricted; payment notifications are verified before orders are marked paid.

Retention and your rights

We retain information only as needed for service, accounting and applicable legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. You may request access to or correction of your information, object to processing, or request deletion where the law permits. We may need to verify your identity and may need to keep legally required transaction records.
